THERAPY SERVICES

ABA Early Intervention Group

We offer an ABA Early Intervention Group for children from 18 months to five years of age. This program will address communication, behavior, and play skills through literacy and language based activities. Parent involvement is required. Speech Therapy and Applied Behavior Analysis

These therapies will address individualized goals in a one-on-one setting by an SLP or RBT, respectively

Sleep Training

Building BLOCS offers support to families whose children have difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep.

Social Groups

Social groups are designed for children ages 4–6 with strong language skills who need help with social skills and play skills.

ASSESSMENT SERVICES

Free Screenings

Building BLOCS offers families free screenings. An SLP and BCBA will meet with the child and family members for approximately 10-20 minutes to look at articulation, receptive and expressive language, communication strategies, and behavior to determine if an assessment is warranted.

Assessments

Building BLOCS therapists are experienced with assessing children from a variety of age groups and disabilities. We employ a battery of norm- and criterion-referenced assessment tools to identify each child’s strengths and weaknesses and to identify meaningful goals and recommendations for each child. Some of the various assessments we offer are listed below:

Comprehensive Assessments (language, behavior, articulation, and early play skills)

Play-based early communication skills
Augmentative and Alternative Communication Assessment

CONSULTATION

Building BLOCS can provide home and school consultation. We work with individuals in families’ homes or communities to implement the Behavior Intervention Plan and to promote communication throughout a child’s day and across all settings.
